Tom Ford Lost Cherry pairs black cherry, cherry liqueur and bitter almond with tonka, vanilla and balsam. Sero Cherry Spell, from Toronto, shares most of its published notes. From Arabian houses, Khadlaj Nuha Cherry Blush shares the cherry, rose and jasmine, and reviewers often compare Lattafa Badee Al Oud Sublime. Qadr by Sara Sakina, our own perfume, has no cherry and shares only the warm base.
Key takeaways
Lost Cherry is a fragrance from the American house Tom Ford, released in 2018. Its published notes are bitter almond, black cherry and cherry liqueur on top, sour cherry, plum, Turkish rose and jasmine sambac in the heart, and vanilla, tonka bean, cinnamon, Peru balsam, sandalwood, benzoin, cloves, cedar, patchouli and vetiver in the base (Lost Cherry note list). Read as a list, it is cherry three ways with almond, over a spiced, balsamic base. A good alternative keeps the cherry and almond, or at least the tonka and vanilla.
These four perfumes on our shelves share part of the Lost Cherry note list, and all but one come from Arabian houses: Cherry Spell is from Sero, a perfume house in Toronto.
| Perfume | Shared with Lost Cherry | Different | Strength |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cherry Spell by Sero | Most of the published list, including black cherry, cherry liqueur, sour cherry, bitter almond, plum, Turkish rose, tonka bean and Peru balsam | A separate perfume from a Toronto house, in a 30 ml size | Parfum |
| Nuha Cherry Blush by Khadlaj | Cherry, rose, jasmine, vanilla, tonka, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver | Raspberry, red wine, rum, orris, labdanum and musk; no almond or plum | Eau de parfum |
| Badee Al Oud Sublime by Lattafa | Plum, rose, jasmine, vanilla, patchouli | Apple, lychee and moss; no cherry or almond | Eau de parfum |
| Qadr by Sara Sakina | Tonka, vanilla, benzoin | Cardamom, saffron, boozy notes, coffee, suede, labdanum and woods; no cherry, almond, plum or rose | Extrait de parfum |
Cherry Spell comes from Sero, a perfume house in Toronto, and it shares most of the published Lost Cherry notes. Its list includes black cherry, cherry liqueur and bitter almond on top, sour cherry, plum, Turkish rose and jasmine sambac in the heart, and vanilla, tonka bean, cinnamon, Peru balsam and sandalwood in the base. It is a separate perfume, made by Sero. Choose it if you want cherry and almond at the centre and are happy with a smaller bottle. It is a parfum in a 30 ml bottle.
Nuha Cherry Blush is the one Arabian pick here with cherry in its published notes. It pairs cherry with rose and jasmine over vanilla, tonka, sandalwood, cedar and vetiver, eight notes that also appear in Lost Cherry. It adds raspberry, red wine, rum, orris, labdanum and musk, and it has no almond or plum. Choose it if you want cherry with a boozy, berry side and no almond. It is an eau de parfum in an 85 ml bottle.
Reviewers often compare Badee Al Oud Sublime with Lost Cherry, but its published list has no cherry or almond. What it shares is plum, rose, jasmine, vanilla and patchouli. It opens with apple, lychee and rose and adds moss. Choose it if you like the dark fruit and rose of Lost Cherry and are happy with plum and apple instead of cherry. It is an eau de parfum in a 100 ml bottle.
Qadr is our own perfume, so we will be plain about it: it has no cherry. From the Lost Cherry base it shares only tonka, vanilla and benzoin, and it has no almond, plum or rose. Around that base it adds cardamom, saffron, boozy notes, cade, cistus, suede and coffee, with labdanum, guaiac wood and amberwood. Choose it if you love the warm base of Lost Cherry but want spice, coffee and woods instead of fruit. It is a unisex extrait de parfum with our 10 to 12 hour longevity guarantee, and there is a 5 ml tester.

Sero Cherry Spell, from a Toronto house, shares the most published notes of all.
