The Sheikh Gold Edition N.77 — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: bergamot, black pepper, saffron and pink pepper over Turkish rose, jasmine, cinnamon and incense, on oud, amber, vanilla, sandalwood, cedar and musk. Woody Oriental (Oud). All seasons, for daily wear and evenings.
Verdict: fourteen notes and the densest of the four — two peppers plus saffron up top, rose and incense through the middle, and a six-note base with oud at the front of it. The Sheikh Silver Edition N.70 — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: apple, bergamot, lemon and bitter lemon over cyclamen and rosewood, on sandalwood, musk, vanilla and creamy wood. Fresh Citrus-Aquatic. Listed unisex, for daily wear.

The Sheikh Silver Edition — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: juniper berries, honeydew melon and saffron over black violet, rose and leather, on sandalwood, musk and vanilla. Amber Spicy. Listed unisex, all seasons, for evenings.
Verdict: this is the other Silver, and it is not a smaller or cheaper version of the N.70 — it is a different composition. Juniper and melon replace the citrus, black violet and leather replace the cyclamen, and it is filed Amber Spicy rather than fresh. Sheikh Al Shuyukh — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: green leaves, strawberry and pineapple over rose, jasmine and violet, on patchouli, musk and raspberry. Amber Spicy. Listed unisex, all seasons, for evenings.
Verdict: the fruitiest of the four and the one that sits furthest from the rest — a green-and-tropical opening, a three-flower heart, and raspberry sitting unusually in the base rather than the top. Which Sheikh should you buy?
Rose, saffron, incense and oud, with the most going on: Gold Edition N.77. Bright citrus for daytime: Silver Edition N.70. Juniper, melon and leather for evenings: Silver Edition, the unnumbered one. Green and fruity: Sheikh Al Shuyukh. All four are eau de parfum at 100 ml. If someone recommends you a Khalis Silver, check the number on the box before ordering — the two are genuinely different fragrances.
