Collector's Edition is an eau de parfum; Not Only Intense is an extrait de parfum, which means a higher proportion of fragrance oil and, usually, a heavier and longer-sitting result. Verdict: the fresher and more versatile of the two. Supremacy Not Only Intense — Extrait de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: bergamot, apple and black currant over lavender, patchouli and oak moss, on saffron, musk and ambergris. Amber Spicy. Presented for men, for evenings.
Verdict: the darker and more concentrated of the two. The pineapple is gone, black currant and lavender take the composition somewhere drier and more aromatic, and saffron appears in the base where the Collector's Edition has moss. What the concentration difference actually means
Extrait de parfum carries a higher share of fragrance oil than eau de parfum. In practice that usually means a scent that sits closer to the skin, develops more slowly and lasts longer from fewer sprays. It is not a stronger version of the same fragrance, though — these two have different note pyramids, so Not Only Intense is a different composition that happens to also be more concentrated. We have no verified longevity figures on file for either bottle, so we are describing the concentration grade rather than promising hours.
Which Supremacy should you buy?
Bright, fruity, wearable from morning to a party: Collector's Edition. Drier, aromatic, saffron-backed and built for evenings: Not Only Intense. Both are 100 ml and both are presented for men. Bear in mind you are choosing a concentration as well as a direction — and that the extrait carries the higher price.
