The Afnan 9 AM and 9 PM lines are a single family split across two moods: 9 AM is the daytime side — citrus, lavender and clean woods — while 9 PM is the evening side, built on apple, cinnamon and a vanilla-tonka base. Between them sit six fragrances plus a gift set, and the flankers pull the formula sweeter (Rebel), darker and boozier (Night Out), spicier and more leathery (Elixir) or colder and more aquatic (Dive). This guide compares every one we stock at Sara Sakina, with the note pyramids from each bottle and honest notes on where the differences actually are.
9 AM — the daytime original
Profile: mandarin, cedrat, cardamom and pink pepper over lavender, orange blossom, rose and green apple, drying to cedarwood, moss, patchouli and musk. Fresh Woody. Eau de Parfum, 100 ml, unisex.
Verdict: the safest entry point in the family and the most office-appropriate. The green apple in the heart is what links it to the 9 PM side; everything around it is cleaner and drier. If you want one bottle from this family that works Monday morning, this is it. Afnan 9 AM →
9 AM Dive — the cold, aquatic one
Profile: lemon, pink pepper, mint and blackcurrant over apple, incense and cedar, on patchouli, jasmine, ginger and sandalwood. Fresh Citrus-Aquatic. Eau de Parfum, 100 ml, presented for men.
Performance: 6–8 hours.
Verdict: the mint-and-blackcurrant opening makes this the sharpest, coldest thing in the family, and the incense in the heart keeps it from reading like a generic sport fragrance. Pick it over the original 9 AM if you want more bite and less lavender. Afnan 9 AM Dive →
9 PM — the evening original
Profile: bergamot, lavandin, cinnamon and apple over lily of the valley and orange blossom, on patchouli, amber, vanilla and tonka bean. Amber. Eau de Parfum, 100 ml, presented for men.
Verdict: the reason the line exists, and still the most balanced of the evening bottles. Apple and cinnamon up top, warm vanilla-tonka underneath — sweet without tipping into dessert. Listed for fall and winter, and for date nights, evenings and parties. If you are buying your first Afnan, buy this one. Afnan 9 PM →
9 PM Elixir — the spiced, leathery one
Profile: nutmeg, elemi and cardamom over pimento, lavandin and leather, drying to cistus, labdanum, patchouli and vanilla. Amber Spicy. Extrait de Parfum, 100 ml, unisex.
Verdict: the furthest departure from the original on the evening side. The apple is gone entirely and leather and resins take its place, so this reads drier and more grown-up rather than sweeter. The concentration steps up to extrait. Choose it if the original 9 PM is too fruity for you. Afnan 9 PM Elixir →
9 PM Rebel — the sweet one
Profile: mandarin, pineapple and green apple over cedarwood, oakmoss and vanilla, on caramel, dry woods, ambergris and musk. Sweet Gourmand. Eau de Parfum, 100 ml, unisex.
Verdict: the fruit is turned up and caramel replaces the tonka warmth, which makes this the most openly sweet bottle in the family. Listed for spring, summer and fall — the only evening-side flanker not aimed at cold weather — and for vacations, evenings and parties. Skip it if you found the original 9 PM already sweet enough. Afnan 9 PM Rebel →
9 PM Night Out — the boozy one
Profile: dragon fruit, bergamot, cognac, lavender and apple over toffee, suede, cardamom, cedar and mahonial, on tonka bean, akigalawood, ambrofix and patchouli. Amber Fruity. Extrait de Parfum, 100 ml, unisex.
Verdict: the most complex pyramid in the family and the most obviously "night" of the six — cognac and toffee up front, suede and akigalawood underneath. It is also the most expensive. Listed for fall and winter, and for date nights, evenings and parties. Afnan 9 PM Night Out →
The Endless Evening bundle
A gift set pairing 9 PM with Afnan Musk Abiyad, listed as unisex and for date nights and evenings. Worth considering if you are buying 9 PM as a gift and want the musk oil alongside it. Endless Evening Bundle →

A note on performance figures
We publish longevity figures only where we have them recorded against the specific bottle. At the time of writing that means 6–8 hours for 9 AM Dive; for the rest of the family we have not logged verified wear data, and we would rather leave the number out than guess it. Concentration is a useful proxy in the meantime: the two extraits, Elixir and Night Out, are the most concentrated bottles in the range.
Every note pyramid above is taken from the product record for the exact bottle we sell — concentration, size and gender presentation included. Test any of them in person at Sara Sakina, Oakville Place (Unit 242), Oakville, or browse the full Afnan collection with live CAD pricing and Ontario shipping.
