Asad is Lattafa's tobacco-and-pineapple line for men, and the three flankers each take the original somewhere different: Elixir goes drier and more resinous, Reserve turns floral and cacao-sweet, and Zanzibar swaps the warmth for coconut water and salt. We carry all four plus two home and body formats. This guide compares them with the note pyramid recorded against each bottle.
Asad — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: black pepper, tobacco and pineapple over patchouli, coffee and iris, on vanilla, amber, dry wood, benzoin and labdanum. Amber Spicy. Presented for men, for daily wear and evenings.
Verdict: the original, and the most balanced — pineapple and tobacco up top, coffee in the middle, a five-note resinous base holding it together. It is also the least expensive of the sprays after Zanzibar. Currently out of stock. Lattafa Asad →
Asad Elixir — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: grapefruit, pink pepper and saffron over tobacco, cedarwood and vanilla, on patchouli, olibanum, cashmeran and dry amber. Amber Spicy. Presented for men, for daily wear and evenings.
Verdict: the driest and most expensive of the line by a wide margin. Saffron replaces the pineapple, tobacco moves from the top to the heart, and olibanum gives the base an incense edge the original does not have. Currently out of stock. Lattafa Asad Elixir →
Asad Reserve — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: lavender, mirabelle and pink pepper over cacao, nutmeg and davana, on vanilla, amber and vetiver. Floral. Listed unisex, all seasons, for evenings.
Verdict: the furthest from the original and the only Asad listed unisex. Lavender and mirabelle up top with cacao in the heart make it sweeter and softer — there is no tobacco anywhere in the pyramid. Currently out of stock. Lattafa Asad Reserve →
Asad Zanzibar — Eau de Parfum 100 ml
Profile: lavender and black pepper over coconut water, iris and salt, on vanilla and incense. Amber. Presented for men, for daily wear and evenings.
Verdict: the summer reading of the line. Coconut water and salt push it toward warm weather, and its base is the shortest of the four at two notes. It is also the least expensive spray here. Currently out of stock. Lattafa Asad Zanzibar →
Asad for the home and on the go
The line also includes a 300 ml air freshener, whose record carries the same note pyramid as the eau de parfum, and a 200 ml body spray, whose record lists a different and simpler pyramid — spices and citrus over amber and lavender, on vanilla, tonka bean and soft woods. Both are on the shelf as this is written, and either is an inexpensive way to try the profile before committing to a bottle. Asad Air Freshener → · Asad Body Spray →
Which Asad should you buy?
First bottle: the original Asad. Drier, with incense and saffron: Elixir. Sweeter and floral, and the unisex option: Reserve. Warm weather: Zanzibar. Testing the profile first: the air freshener. All four sprays are eau de parfum at 100 ml, so this is a choice of direction and price, not strength.
Availability and performance
The four eau de parfum bottles are all between deliveries as this is written; the air freshener and body spray are in stock. We publish the whole line so you can see what it covers and ask us to flag a bottle when it lands. No verified longevity or sillage figures are logged against these bottles, so none are printed here.
Every note pyramid above is taken from the product record for the exact bottle we sell, along with its concentration, size and stated gender presentation. Browse the full Lattafa collection with live CAD pricing and Ontario shipping, or visit Sara Sakina, Oakville Place (Unit 242), Oakville.
