Khadlaj Island Lineup Explained: All Four Compared (2026)

Sara Sakina

Island is Khadlaj's tropical line and the most internally varied family they make: four extraits that share a name and almost nothing else. The original is a pineapple-and-coconut woody, Island Sun is mango and lime, Island Dreams is a spare ginger-grapefruit freshie, and Vanilla Dunes abandons the tropics entirely for lavender, praline and vanilla. This guide compares all four, with the note pyramid recorded against each bottle.

Island — Extrait de Parfum 100 ml

Profile: pineapple, iris, ginger and cypress over coconut, on tonka, sandalwood, amber and ambergris. Woody. Listed unisex, for summer.
Verdict: the original, and the most balanced reading of the tropical idea — the coconut sits in the heart rather than dominating, and cypress and iris keep it from turning into suncream. The entry point for the line. Khadlaj Island →

Island Sun — Extrait de Parfum 100 ml

Profile: mango, coconut, lime and lemon over pink pepper, jasmine and orange blossom, on musk, tonka bean and precious woods. Floral Fruity. Listed unisex, for spring and summer, everyday, vacation and daytime wear.
Verdict: the loudest tropical bottle of the four — mango and coconut lead, citrus keeps it bright, and white florals stop it reading purely as fruit. If you want the holiday version of Island, this is it. Khadlaj Island Sun →

Island Dreams — Extrait de Parfum 100 ml

Profile: ginger and bergamot over grapefruit, on musk and ambroxan. Citrus Aromatic. Listed unisex, for summer.
Performance: 6–8 hours.
Verdict: the sparest pyramid in the family and the least tropical — no coconut, no mango, just ginger, grapefruit and a clean ambroxan-musk base. The office-safe member of the line, and the only one in it with a logged wear figure. Khadlaj Island Dreams →

Island Vanilla Dunes — Extrait de Parfum 100 ml

Profile: lavender, bergamot and cardamom over orange blossom, guaiac wood and dry amber, on vanilla, praline and amber. Amber Spicy. Listed unisex, for fall and winter, date nights and evenings.
Verdict: the outlier. It carries the Island name but it is a cold-weather gourmand — lavender and cardamom up top, praline and vanilla underneath. Buy it because you want a sweet amber, not because you liked the original Island. Khadlaj Island Vanilla Dunes →

Which Island should you buy?

First bottle from the line: Island. Hot weather, holidays and daytime: Island Sun. Office and clean freshness: Island Dreams. Cold weather and evenings: Island Vanilla Dunes. All four are extrait de parfum at 100 ml, so the choice is about scent direction and season rather than strength.

A note on performance figures

Island Dreams is the only bottle in this family with a wear figure logged against it, at 6–8 hours. For the other three we have not recorded verified longevity or sillage, so no number is printed — we would rather leave it out than guess.

Every note pyramid above is taken from the product record for the exact bottle we sell, along with its concentration, size and stated season.
