Creamy and dessert-like
Khadlaj Cream Velvet is the one to try if you want vanilla that smells like dessert. Khadlaj lists buttery caramel up top, honey, jasmine and tonka bean in the heart, and amber, musk and vanilla in the base. It is one of our best sellers, and it suits fall and winter. Praline and nutty

Qadr, our own extrait de parfum, opens on cardamom, saffron and a boozy note, moves through suede, benzoin and coffee, and settles on tonka, vanilla and labdanum. It is warm and spiced, and made for cold weather. Lattafa Asad pairs vanilla with tobacco, black pepper and coffee, a darker style that is often worn by men. How to choose a vanilla perfume
- Decide how sweet you want it. Caramel, marshmallow and praline make vanilla edible and comforting. Coffee, tobacco and spice make it darker. Citrus and rose make it lighter.
- Think about the season. Vanilla blooms in cool air, so most of these shine from October to March. For summer, pick Safi or Amazight.
