Turathi Blue — Eau de Parfum 90 ml
Profile: bergamot and mandarin over amber and woody notes, on musk, patchouli and fresh spicy notes. Amber Spicy. Presented for men.
Verdict: the most compact of the three at seven notes, and the only one presented for men. A clean citrus opening straight into amber and wood, then a musky-peppery base — a straightforward structure with nothing decorative in it. Our record carries no season or occasion for this bottle. Turathi Brown — Eau de Parfum 90 ml
Profile: amber and patchouli over aromatic spices and vanilla, on rose. Amber Spicy. Listed unisex, all seasons, for daily wear and evenings.
Verdict: the shortest pyramid of the three at five notes, and the strangest on paper — amber and patchouli sit at the top where you would normally find citrus, and rose sits alone in the base where you would normally find woods. Turathi Electric — Eau de Parfum 90 ml
Profile: bergamot, pink grapefruit, pear and mandarin orange over apple, cedarwood and orange blossom, on vanilla, amber dry, musk and ambroxan. Fresh Citrus-Aquatic. Listed unisex.
Verdict: the outlier and the fullest of the three at eleven notes — four citrus and orchard notes up top, apple and orange blossom through the middle, and a modern ambroxan-and-musk base. Which Turathi should you buy?
Clean, ambery and masculine-presented: Blue. Warm, spiced and rose-backed, and the one filed for daily wear as well as evenings: Brown. Bright, fresh and modern: Electric. All three are eau de parfum at 90 ml and all three sit within about ten dollars of each other, so this is a choice of direction rather than budget.
